Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann’s new collaboration ‘Fourth Hour’ is out now via Dirtybird Records.

Both legends in their own right and 2/3 of Better Lost Than Stupid with Martin Buttrich, ‘Fourth Hour’ sees Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann come together for a exhilarating deep-tech original. Ushered by a continuous groove and four-on-the-floor momentum, ‘Fourth Hour’ swerves through thoughtful builds of low end basslines, fluttering countermelodies, and sprightly bongo hits. An entrancing non-stop heater, ‘Fourth Hour’ is destined to be the heartbeat of underground dance floors across the globe.

‘Fourth Hour’ also serves as a full-circle moment for Matthias Tanzmann, who returns to the label after Dirtybird head honcho Claude VonStroke appeared on his Moon Harbour imprint last year with ‘Don’t Make Sense’. Tanzmann first debuted on Dirtybird in 2019 with his The Treat EP.

Davide Squillace has a rightful claim as one of the busiest artists in electronic music. Now based in Barcelona, Squillace has released across a range of respected labels like Ovum, Saved, Desolat, Get Physical, Moon Harbour and Hot Creations to name a few. Squillace has also launched his own labels: Sketch, Minisketch, Hideout and Titbit, and is the brains behind This And That, an artistic think tank and record label designed for artists to develop creative projects in music, visual art, design, fashion and writing. He remains an integral part of Ibiza institution Circoloco, and an exciting live performer with sets at festivals like Warung, Kappa Future, Time Warp, Movement Festival and Glastonbury.

Matthias Tanzmann has been one of the leaders of the house conversation for more than two decades now. He is one of the prominent residents for the Circoloco crew at Ibiza’s iconic DC10 in Ibiza, headsup the agenda-setting Moon Harbour label and releases his slick, forward-looking house and techno on labels like Dirtybird and Saved. In 2019, Tanzmann released his latest career-spanning and autobiographical solo album, Round and Round, which featured guests like Steve Bug and Mathias Kaden. With more than 20 years of experience, Matthias Tanzmann remains as influential as ever.

Davide Squillace and Matthias Tanzmann invite the flock to the underground sounds of their new collaboration ‘Fourth Hour’ out now.
