Following his sentimental original ‘Lion’s Head’, Purified Records regular Corren Cavini returns to the imprint with his latest offering, ‘Darkness Into Day’, alongside EAST-97.
Stepping into a club-ready realm, Corren and EAST-97 balance power and emotion in ‘Darkness Into Day’. “Throughout the process of creating ‘Darkness Into Day’, it became about the way music can bring light into your life, even when you’re going through darker moments. There’s something beautiful about the fact that electronic music often exists in dark spaces – clubs, festivals and dark rooms – while the experience itself can bring so much light and connection into people’s lives.”

Playing Purified events in Miami, London, Bloemendaal and New York this year, his performances showcase his magnetic stage presence and unwavering passion for his craft.
EAST-97 is a newly launched project by Marten Osterhaven; a singer-songwriter from Nijmegen in The Netherlands, who loves the sounds and world of electronic dance music. As an artist, songwriter and vocalist, he is always in search of new ways to use his skillset and to learn from his peers.
The release artwork features an underwater cave photograph captured by Paris Bilal, reflecting the tension between shadow and light at the heart of ‘Darkness Into Day’.
Framed through deep blues, rocky textures and a natural opening toward the surface, the image mirrors the track’s movement from darker, club-driven energy into a more emotional and luminous space.
