UK converges with LA for a cross-Atlantic collab, as international house sensation Biscits joins forces with fast-rising Stateside producer TOBEHONEST on their hefty house single “I Am The One,” the latest offering to surface on Insomniac Records.
From the onset, “I Am The One” reveals its infectious bassline pulse, before immediately unveiling its equally appealing vocal hook. Sly and inundated with confidence, the looped refrain relishes in its head-turning bravado. The hypnotic flow flaunts its self-assurance in all the right places, while finding its match in the track’s reverberating low-end, piercing plucks, rolling hand percussion, and zipping synth leads.
Biscits confirms the collab has been a long time coming: “TOBEHONEST and I have been sending stuff to each other for a while now. And when he sent me this particular topline, it only felt right to whip it into a collaboration. The results are really something else!”
TOBEHONEST echoes the sentiment, saying, “Biscits and I had always talked about doing a track together, so I decided to hand over a vocal topline that I’d been working on. He loved the idea and was able to put some more of his own sauce of on it. Once I got it back, I finished the track up and we had ourselves a certified banger!”
Making himself comfortable at the highest rung of the house music ladder, Biscits has been crafting crowd-pleasing grooves at an elite level. His chart-topping charm has seen him garner repeat radio support from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Sirius XM, Radio FG and more. The Southampton native is also responsible for a handful of heavy-duty releases on Insomniac Records, including last year’s peak-time club tool “Don’t Stop,” which has surpassed the 12 million stream mark. His other appearances on the label have set the dancefloor on fire, including “Locco” and his most recent “365” collab alongside England’s singer/songwriter and producer Camden Cox. Biscits will be joining Insomniac Records during their Pool Party at Miami Music Week, as well as their hosted stage at Beyond Wonderland SoCal the same weekend.
Stepping up for his debut appearance on Insomniac Records, LA-based TOBEHONEST has gained serious traction in the tech house sphere with his infectious rhythms and powerfully effective club tools. He originally broke out in 2022 with his percussive-driven roller “Daka,” which was followed up by his outing on Insomniac’s offshoot imprint IN / ROTATION with “Focused” featured on the label’s ‘Rotate Vol. 10’ compilation and a full-fledged single “Sirens” later in the year. TOBEHONEST is gearing up for a busy string of dates during Miami Music Week, as well, with stops at The Hideout, MAD Club, and Electric Lady.
