Contributing WriterMetamorfosi has brought its record breaking 2026 season at Amnesia Ibiza to a close after another much talked about summer residency that saw Joseph Capriati return to the club for a programme spanning established names, emerging talent and the very best sounds across the house and techno spectrum.
Running every Tuesday from 30th June to 29th September, the residency formed part of Amnesia Ibiza’s 50th anniversary year and marked Capriati’s return to the club where his career developed. Across the season, Metamorfosi presented artists including Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stassy, Seth Troxler, Mau P, Josh Baker, Max Dean and Ben Klock, alongside Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Freddy K, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji and Wade.
The sold out closing night on 29th September brought the season to a final chapter with a back-to-back featuring Capriati, Jamie Jones and Chris Stassy who all brought their A-game and played a mix of red hot new IDs, some summer classics and plenty of slick grooves in between, with an after party at 528, “THE DAY AFTER”
Alongside its Terrace programme, Metamorfosi placed real emphasis on the Club Room with a dedicated techno-focused programme throughout the summer. Artists including Alarico, Serafina, Adiel and Quest featured among a new generation of artists shaping the current underground techno landscape, alongside established figures from the genre.
The dual-room format was central to Metamorfosi’s approach to the season, with the Terrace and Club Room offering different but complementary musical directions. The Club Room in particular provided a platform for a more underground and techno-led sound, reinforcing the residency’s broader focus on musical depth and contemporary club culture.
With the closing now complete, Metamorfosi’s 2026 chapter at Amnesia comes to an end after an unforgettable summer that saw Joseph Capriati once again host the most unmissable weekly sessions for underground music lovers.
