Charlotte de Witte crowns another landmark 12 months by winning DJ Mag’s Alternative Top 100 DJs poll, powered by Beatport for the second year in a row. This news is the latest in a long line of groundbreaking achievements for Charlotte, who remains techno’s most recognisable contemporary force. She will back this up by starting 2022 with her biggest ever KNTXT party on February 5th 2022 at Flanders Expo in Charlotte’s hometown of Ghent, where she will play an exclusive 10 hour all-night set.

Charlotte is still riding high off the success of her latest Asura EP, which brought fresh psychedelic and psytrance influences to her big room techno sounds. It came with a brand new drop of apparel from her KNTXT label and in the same month as Charlotte secured 23rd place on DJ Mag’s traditional Top 100, making her the highest placed non-EDM artist in the list this year.

On top of all this, Charlotte has topped charts with her remix of Age Of Love – ‘The Age Of Love’ with Enrico Sangiuliano, has served up a thrilling BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and launched a special range of KNTXT athletic wear in collaboration with 4254.

This year also saw the launch of the carefully curated Apple Music x KNTXT page with a series of essential sounds, the launch of the Charlotte de Witte x Tomboy Collaboration featuring bespoke racing t-shirts and a landmark set live-streamed from the Italian Formula 1 race track Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello – which she also got to drive round in a Ferrari. Further notable DJ sets came with the Onassis Foundation at Ancient Messene, Greece and a special set with Mixmag to celebrate 10 years of The Lab, while earlier in the year she served up her Formula EP with another tasteful apparel drop.

The year is not over yet, either: KNTXT parties are scheduled for October 31st at The Radius Center in Chicago, US, and the VW Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, on December 17th

All this proves that 2021 truly belongs to Charlotte de Witte.
