New school house innovator Klaudie returns with Funky Fresh on her We R the Problem label.
Czech-born Klaudie began her musical journey at the age of six then spent 12 years classically training on violin and performing in orchestras before making the move into DJing and production. She has since carved out a sound rooted in groove-driven house with rolling bass and carefully selected samples with a raw, emotive pull.
Her new cut, she says, captures the bold, feel-good energy of an iconic era of club music and reimagines it through a stripped-back, rolling groove, not chasing nostalgia but aiming for the same instant dancefloor connection in a way that feels hypnotic and built for today’s clubs.
Funky Fresh is a chunky house groove built on nice swing and airy hi-hats, paired with an irresistible vocal hook and a filthy, dirty bassline that brings the sleaze.
