KC Lights returns to Toolroom with his massive new single ‘Danca’, a high-energy cut built for dancefloors worldwide. Blending huge basslines, breakbeat, and Latin vocals full of attitude with his signature polished production, ‘Danca’ showcases KC Lights at his most dynamic.
A proven favourite on the label, the Scotsman has previously delivered standout releases such as ‘SOL’, which earned widespread AAA DJ support from the likes of Diplo, Dom Dolla, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia to name only a few.
With the single out now, KC Lights put together this selection of 10 of this current favorites.
KC Lights – Danca
This one was such a fun and easy one to write for me. I wanted a bit of a weapon for the club that felt a little darker than the rest of my set but still had a cool groove. Thankfully, it turned out exactly that way.
Four Set – Only Human
This is such a classic banger from Four Tet. I feel like everything he touches turns to gold but this one in particular is still such an earworm and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of playing it/listening to it.
Lane 8 – The Remedy
Lane 8 is up there as one of my favourite producers and he really delivered with this one as a club weapon. Always gets such a big reaction in the club.
Kyle Walker – Cowboy Killer
This is exactly the kind of track I love playing out. Infectious groove, fun jazzy breakdowns, big build ups and even bigger drops.
Mele, Jords & Wonky Logic – So High
I’m a big Mele fan so there was no way I was missing out his recent release in my selection. He seems to be so comfortably in his own lane and owning his own sound. From the groove to the feel good guitars to the vocals – he’s nailed it with this one. Can’t wait for the album.
Dom Dolla, MK – Rhyme Dust (Nic Fanciulli Remix)
This has been another staple in my sets since it came out. It obviously became one of the biggest dance records of 2023 and this Nic Fanculli remix is perfect for my sets, always a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
Toomy Disco – No Luv
Fun, disco, groover. Not much else to say. This track pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Love it.
Siege, Dario Nunez, I Jah – Heat
There aren’t many sets of mine that don’t include a Siege tune. Every time I see a new release I know it’s going to be big and this was no exception. Sounds huge in the club.
Narasimha – Fanga
I’ve only recently come across Narasimha but he is well and truly on my radar now. Wow, this tune just pulled me in right away and it feels like I’ve had it on repeat ever since. So cool and so fresh.
KC Lights – SOL
SOL came out in 2019 and still sounds fresh in my sets today. It still gets so many requests so I dont think I can stop playing it any time soon.
