Brazilian producers Sudden Heat and Pitros today join Dirtybird with their new single ‘Tease Me’ featuring songstress Nanda Broilo, out now as part of the label’s Flight Week Brazil writing camp series.
Paired together during the sessions after a game of rock-paper-scissors, Sudden Heat and Pitros turned a chance studio match-up into one of the camp’s standout records. ‘Tease Me’ sits at the intersection of tech house and bass house, driven by a rolling groove that stays locked in from start to finish. Warbling bass lines and crisp percussion give the track a natural funk, while Nanda Broilo’s playfully whispered vocals add a hypnotic layer. Shaped by Flight Week’s collaborative environment, ‘Tease Me’ carries the kind of instinctive, in-the-room creative exchange that defines the series, translating those shared ideas into a focused, club-ready cut.
‘Tease Me’ marks the second release from the Belo Horizonte sessions following BadComppany’s two-track No Rules EP. The week-long writing camp and accompanying tour throughout Brazil served as the first international edition and expanded on the label’s inaugural Flight Week in their San Francisco hometown. Built around collaborative studio sessions, the series evolves those demos into live moments and eventual releases, tracing how tracks move from early sketches in the room to fully formed records performed within the same week.
Sudden Heat is the alias of Italian-Brazilian DJ and producer Lucas Amore. Blending groove-driven house and atmospheric techno, Sudden Heat’s releases on Experts Only and Nervous Records have garnered the attention of Jamie Jones, FISHER, John Summit, and PAWSA.
Pitros represents a new wave of talent coming out of Minas Gerais. Based in São João del Rei, he has put out music on Nervous Records and Sola Records (Armada Music), along with collaborations on CUFF, Repopulate Mars, and Track ID. His tech house rooted sound has earned support from the likes of Mochakk, Dom Dolla, and Gene Farris.
