‘Networks’ also features a remix from previous label artist Kitsta

Rowant, formerly known as Parallel, drops debut EP titled ‘Networks’ on Manual Smiles this March. The four-tracker features a remix by Megababes boss Kitsta, who previously appeared on the label in 2023 with her ‘Liefmans’ EP.

Rowant starts things off with ‘Effector Cell’, a wobbly trip marked by mind-warping sequences and subtle 8-bit melodies. Title track ‘Networks’ follows, its synths ebb and flow playfully as a snappy groove keeps pace before ‘Collecting Thoughts’ continues by stripping things back for a late-night hug-your-mates dancefloor moment. Closing out the EP, GODDEZZ & Borne Fruits artist Kitsta remixes ‘Collecting Thoughts’, putting her own club-ready spin on the track while incorporating the original’s melodic elements for an evocative breakdown.

London artist Niall Rowley has production credits for labels like Midnight People, Nein Records, and U’re Guay as the Italo and indie-leaning Parallel. Now, he mints new alias Rowant, blending the trippier sides of Techno and House with ‘Networks’, a true statement of intent from the artist that, next to his long running AAJA Radio show and Fantasy Trax label & event collective, promises an outstanding start for the project.

Founded in 2023 by Brussels-via-London artist Enno (n_o), Manual Smiles has quickly become a home for acid-infused dance tracks across various underground genres. The label has featured music from artists such as Azo, REES, Nickon Faith, Command Control, and Kajsa Villius and has won support from Nene H, Tasha, Roman Flügel, Carista, I. Jordan, Kiara Scuro, HAAi, and many more.

Rowant ‘Networks’ releases on Beatport & streaming 7th March, and elsewhere 21st March 2025, via Manual Smiles.
