Mitch DodgeBorn in Naples and now based in Tuscany, Luigi Mauro is an artist who made his production debut less than two years ago. However, despite his newcomer status, he has already dropped a series of EPs and shared the stage with renowned artists such as Hito, Mennie, Ben Sterling, and Supernova, showcasing his ability to hold his own alongside globally established names. Stepping things up for 2025, his next release is his biggest to date and brings a label debut as he heads to Neverdogs’ Bamboleo Records for his first EP of the year.
His ‘Shutter Island’ EP features two originals alongside a remix from Bucharest-based EdiP, following releases on Moan, Take Notes, Kaluki, and more – highlighting Bamboleo’s commitment to uncovering fresh talent. The title track blends trippy grooves with hooky vocal snippets for a dynamic and engaging opener, while Edi P’s remix offers a menacing and hard-hitting reinterpretation. Closing out the EP, ‘Trick’ delivers a slick and rhythmic rolling journey for another cut built for the dancefloor.
