KinAhau returns to Crosstown Rebels with his introspective three-tracker, ‘Cicek’ EP.

Out on 3rd July 2026, the young producer delivers a deeply personal excursion, featuring Mahmut Orhan, exploring themes of identity, independence, and creative freedom.

Opening title track ‘Cicek’, created alongside Mahmut Orhan, unfolds through emotive melodies, organic textures, and a sense of quiet tension that feels deliberately removed from conventional club formulas. It’s a record that prioritises atmosphere and feeling over immediacy, setting the tone for the wider release. “Cicek is yet another eﬀort to challenge the paradigm that influences electronic and club music,” explains KinAhau. “There’s a false sense of freedom in the creative process. Anything that arrives with too much diﬀerence is quickly deemed inadmissible by the machine. Keeping things running smoothly has become more important than disrupting them.”

Across the EP, that idea takes diﬀerent forms, shapes and directions. ‘Plane Jane leans’ is a stripped-back, hazy journey through vibrant keys and woozy textures, while ‘Danza De La Pau’ flips the script and tunnels into trippy, ping-pong synths, cascading tones and oﬀ-kilter pockets of sound. Together, the three tracks feel less like individual records and more like snapshots from a broader creative conversation, one shaped by a growing distance from formula and a desire to explore something more personal and unique.

“Since I’m unable to separate my life from my music, Cicek became a reflection of that feeling,” KinAhau continues. “It stands for my growing distance from a sound increasingly shaped by labels, charts and playlists, and for my enduring belief in music as a force capable of helping us understand our world and ourselves in it.”
