German electronic duo and Kittball label co-owners Tube & Berger have called for  No Phones on the dancefloor with their new single No Phones on Kittball – as a rebellion to what they have seen in countless clubs around the globe.

Remember when you and your friends were totally absorbed in the music? No Phones has the kind of big, funky beats you want to dance to. So, pop your phone back in your bag and boogie.

This season in Ibiza the likes of Pikes, 528, plus events from Michael Bibi and Damian Lazarus have caught up with the Berlin policy of stickering your phone on the way into the party or requesting “NO PHONES on the dancefloor”. And the results have been incredible, with dancefloors again becoming a mass of seething, dancing bodies in unison with the music rather than spectators filming a publicity stunt. This is the start of the paradigm shift many DJs and artists have been waiting for. They feed of your energy. As David Mancuso said, the dancers are the performance and the DJ is there to facilitate. It’s called a dancefloor for a reason.

Tube & Berger say: “No Phones is a protest song – a rebellion against screen time when you’re supposed to vibe. We made this track because we’re tired of seeing something magical fade away on the dancefloor – real connection. Shaky videos. Missed drops. Zombie scroll mode. All for clips nobody ever replays. The production these days is insane – lights, visuals, fireworks – but somehow, the realness got lost. No Phones is our reminder to be present. To bring back the rawness, the sweat, the chaos – the essence of rave.”
