As O Beach Ibiza finalises another iconic season, O Beach transitions into winter with the release of dance sensation Tough Love’s new single, ‘Weakness’, out now via their new imprint, O Beach Music.
This is the second release from the new record label arm of the iconic Ibiza party destination, which launched with Marvin Humes’ massive disco house single ‘Ecstasy’ in June with the aim of “bringing the energy of O Beach Ibiza to the global stage”. This release, plus the grand opening of O Beach Dubai on Thursday, certifies O Beach as a year-round force in global dance music. Tough Love will also be performing at the new O Beach Music Showcase event at O Beach Dubai, more details to be announced.
With its seductive vocal refrain, punchy synths and gnarly bassline, ‘Weakness’ marks the brand’s shift into colder months with a deeper, darker style of house music. With its underground sound, the hypnotic ‘Weakness’ feels right at home in an underground basement, submerged in the smokey flickers of a strobe light.
With this venture into more underground sounds, Tough Love rounds off an incredible year, in which he’s released singles ‘Feel It’ and ‘Lost Ones’ with MJ Ultra and Nate James. Once a duo and now a one-piece, since forming in 2011, Tough Love has garnered widespread acclaim with chart-topping hits like ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ and ‘Pony (Jump On It)’, which have earned millions of streams. Their dynamic production style fuses elements of the 90s house with modern flair, leading to remixes for major artists like Jess Glynne and Clean Bandit.
It coincides with the anticipated launch of O Beach’s new multi-complex beach club and restaurant, O Beach Dubai. Aiming to “bring the essence of Ibiza to the UAE”–a location that’s established itself as one of the go-to exclusive party destinations of the world–, party-goers can expect a full weekend programme of O Beach’s globally renowned immersive entertainment.
