Sapporo-born Qrion has a versatile sound and plenty of studio flair, which is why she has been on Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30 list and been recognised by Spotify’s EQUAL Program. Her debut release, ‘Monolith, ‘ came on this label in 2021, and she has since released on Anjunadeep and Global Underground, drawing inspiration from the natural environment around her. Spencer Brown sits at the forefront of the next generation, runs the divine label, and plays on every continent in the world. His sophisticated sounds are at home on labels like Bedrock and Higher Ground, always full of both club energy and meaningful emotion.

Says Qrion, Working with Spencer always feels organic. What starts as a small idea or melody naturally evolves into a full track. Because we share a similar taste in music, the process always feels effortless. We were combining our ideas until the track found its final form! We wanted to make something for the club, with a strong, driving bass. I’ve been playing this ID in my sets for nearly two years, so it means a lot to finally release it.

Spencer comments, Qrion and I have always had an incredible workflow in the studio. We generally finish tracks really quickly, in one sitting. Mt. DS and Lost Project were both made in my San Francisco studio with analogue gear. We made them so quickly, almost as jam sessions, that we nearly forgot they existed. We are so thrilled that Sasha and the LNOE team loved them! They’ve been rocking dancefloors for us.

There is great elegance to opener ‘Mt_DS’ with its suspensory, celestial pads and gently persuasive grooves. Synths constantly rise through the mix until you take flight, and the bassline brings some extra weight as you float amidtrance-including chords and soft, fuzzy melodies. The fantastic ‘Lost Project’ is just as heavenly and inviting with innocent melodic leads and starry keys that get you gazing off into the middle distance. Underpinned by rubbery drums and bass and feint claps, the chords mutate, and pads drift to hypnotic effect in this most tasteful progressive lullaby.

Qrion & Spencer Brown’s ‘MT. DS’ Last Night On Earth on 27th February 2026.
