Italian electronic artist 19:26 marks his return to Afterlife with a five-track EP titled The Passage. The release features solo cuts as well as collaborations with MRAK, Yubik and Layla Benitez.
The Milan-born producer continues to refine his distinctive sound with each new outing. He blends ambient textures with neoclassical and emotive techno and as well as this label has landed on the likes of Afterlife and Siamese while also DJing around the world.
He opens with MRAK on the deep and atmospheric Overrated, then with Yubik comes the rubbery bass and raw claps of Relax Your Mind which grow ever more turbulent. Next to solo cuts like the vocal-led Resurge and magnificently expressive closing and synth heavy track Nocturne, there is also the Layla Benitez collab All The Time.
This is a welcome return from 19:26, who remains at the forefront of the melodic scene.
