At just 24 years old, Braydon Terzo is carving his path as an exciting DJ/producer already supported by heavyweights like Paco Osuna, Cloonee, and Chris Stussy. The rising talent has gained recognition through releases on labels such as COCO, MUSE, and Nervous Records, with his recent collaboration ‘Get Up’ reaching #4 on Beatport’s Minimal/Deep Tech chart. Now shifting focus, he now adds the title of label boss with the launch of his imprint, Roots Recordings, introducing a new platform for showcasing fresh, cutting-edge sounds. Featuring tracks from Gio Lucca, Julio Bravo, CHMPLOO, Carvalho (BR), and Baylee Brown for the debut release, alongside his own contribution, the five-track package marks the start of an exciting new chapter to open 2025.
Label boss Terzo kicks off the release with ‘Paula Abdul,’ a track defined by smooth funk, fizzing synths, and sultry male vocals, followed by Gio Lucca and Julio Bravo’s ‘Perfect,’ which dives into deep, bass-driven late-night grooves. CHMPLOO then steps up for ‘OUTTA CNTRL’, where vibrating textures and intricate beat patterns buzz through the track for a wonky exploration. Next, Carvalho (BR) drops ‘Twelve Hours’, locking in with playful rhythms and a rolling pulse that locks the dancefloor into a trance. Wrapping things up, Baylee Brown’s ‘Issa Issa’ hits with trippy vocal snippets and spacey soundscapes, offering a unique taste of what’s to come from this promising new imprint.
