Normen Hood is one of the core artists who have helped make Gun Raven into a new school techno favourite. The likes of Marshall White, Swim the Shine and Juli Lee have also released music here and techno titan Timo Maas has previously remixed to great acclaim. For his part, Hood has also remixed for the label and is a mainstay of his local scene in Zurich. He has played all over the country and has also released on Endangered, Hive Audio and Casomat, amongst others.
‘Prism Sentence’ kicks off with tense tech beats and rolling drums topped with organic hand claps, shakers and coarse hits. It’s a tribal sound that grows in tension with moody chords and expressive lead synths that bring a cosmic twist.
Remixer R.EK is a veteran DJ, producer and promoter renowned for his unique live sets and commitment to sonic excellence. He has helped to shape his local scene as a resident at Hive Club as well as making an international mark on key labels. His rework is stripped back and locked in with progressive melodies and dramatic sweeping filters all serving to take the dance floor on an emotional ride.
