This EP follows a fine contribution to the label’s charity album ‘Queer Base vol.2’ back in 2024

Trans artist Panooc is a jazz saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and producer who hails from Scotland but grew up in Boston and New York City. Their house sound is informed by the originators, but with real musical chops in each and every tune. They have come on the likes of Fortune Signal, LA’s Dome of Doom, Super Drama Records and Delusional Records while Panooc lays down colourful sets at clubs across the US and Europe.

The steamy ‘See Me’ kicks off with synth rushes that course through the veins like adrenaline as classic house drums and spoken word vocals up the emotional intensity. It’s a full flavour sound rooted in queer dancefloor culture. ‘The Hammer’ is controlled chaos. Pinging analogue drums, acidic twitches, old school piano stabs, and wild sirens add up to a frenzied groove that demands the ‘floor cuts loose. ‘Stitch’ is a sweaty and throbbing sound with dubby, heavy low ends, molten acid lines that rise and fall through the mix and a vocal that tugs at the heart with a sense of real lovestruck pain.

Panooc’s ‘See Me’ comes on Freeride Millenium on July 10th 2025, with artwork provided as always by Daniel Rajcsanyi.
