The Poland-born, London-based artist delivers her most vulnerable and tender release yet, offering an intimate new lens ahead of debut album ‘Menace’
Continuing on the path of unrelenting honesty, Òlah Bliss returns with her newest single ‘Villain’ on 18th March — an intimate, piano-led ballad about the cost of loving too openly, and the second single from her forthcoming debut album Menace, arriving May 2026.
‘Villain’ sits in the tender, exposed aftermath of giving too much of yourself to love, and the quiet shift that comes when trust is broken. Òlah explains, “‘Villain’ came from a place of being tired of always being the one who loves too openly. The song sits in that emotional conflict between wanting to stay soft and hopeful, and feeling the pull to become someone who won’t get hurt like that again.”
Driven by a commanding piano progression, the record is carried by the emotional weight of Òlah’s vocals, which build throughout with quiet devastation. Her most personal record yet, ‘Villain’ was the hardest to make and the most emotionally demanding to write, further setting the landscape of her debut album.
Menace, set for release May 2026, traces a path through heartbreak, desire, and radical self-accountability. Written entirely by Òlah and produced remotely with producer Chyld across a series of Zoom sessions, this unique creative arrangement has quietly shaped the album’s intimacy and gritty realism. ‘Villain’ is perhaps the purest expression of that instinct: music made without a safety net, from an artist unafraid to share the most honest version of herself.
Where many contemporary pop releases chase polish, Òlah Bliss leans into imperfection. Her music is raw, dark-edged, and confessional, capturing the beauty and contradictions of life. For Òlah, relatability is an art form and authenticity is the only standard, which has seen her garner over 6 million streams as a fully independent artist, as well as taking on festival stages across Europe and the U.S., including SXSW in Texas.
