Argentina has always led from the front when it comes to rich, melodic progressive sounds, and right now, few are doing it better than Matias Larrosa, Flor Pavone, Nico Sparvieri, and Nahuel Sack. They collaborated to great effect on Selador with a fresh EP in November 2025, and in June with Flor Pavone, they landed on Nightcolours. Inspired by prog house originators Sasha & Digweed but always adding their own contemporary perspective, they begin the New Year with another sophisticated EP that deepens their craft once more. We sat down with Flor Pavone to discuss the new release, her writing process and collaboration.
1. Hi Flor, thanks for taking the time to chat with us today. How have you been?
Hi! I’m doing well, thank you! Honestly, I’ve been feeling very happy and excited, waiting for the release of the EP “Euphoria”. This was a very special process for me, so I’m experiencing these days full of energy and enthusiasm. And, of course, I’m truly grateful that you reached out for this interview.
2. You’ve got a new release coming out on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth. Can you tell us about the record?
Yes, that’s right — Euphoria comes out on January 16th, 2026. The EP is made up of two tracks: “Euphoria” and “Interstellar.”
The first one, “Euphoria,” is a deeply progressive journey with hypnotic low-end, bright chords, and crisp, defined percussion. It also features very subtle vocals woven into the rest of the elements, creating an engaging groove that simultaneously invites deep, introspective reflection in the listener.
The second track, “Interstellar,” stands out for a bassline that truly asserts itself—firm, full of character—supported by drums that respond with a striking, confident sound. As the track evolves, immersive and captivating synths unfold above the beat, accompanied by vocals that complete the synergy of the piece. The result conveys a sense of happiness and an energetic aura designed to spark movement and surprise on the dance floor.
Together, both tracks bring balance to the EP—expansion and contraction, emotion and euphoria, but also moments that invite you to turn inward. That combination creates a subtle yet steady momentum that leaves a strong, lasting impact.
3. You’ve worked with Larrosa, Nico Sparvieri, and SACK on this project. How did this come about? Do you find that your writing process differs when you’re collaborating with other artists?
This collaboration was born thanks to my friend Matias Larrosa, who understands how important music is in my life, knows my musical taste, and is aware of my passion for singing. He was the one who encouraged me to take the leap into collaborating. With his support, I was able to meet the talent of Nico Sparvieri and Nahuel (SACK AR). Together, we shaped a project that brought us many lovely surprises and unexpectedly beautiful moments. I’m convinced that this collaboration emerged from something we all deeply share: our passion for music.
This experience also allowed me to dive deeper into what it truly means to be a music producer. I learned so much thanks to the guys’ experience and to the way they welcomed and valued my ideas, concepts, and knowledge with such humility and respect.
I believe that the creative process becomes truly enriching when you work with artists who share the same goal. We were able to exchange ideas, weave them together, and translate them into the sound; experimenting with my vocals was especially fulfilling, fun, and at the same time challenging. We all approached the experience with a professional and committed mindset, and that allowed us to create a piece with real impact.
Without a doubt, working together was incredibly positive. It gave me a fresher and more professional perspective, helped me step “outside the box,” and also allowed me to make great friends. All of this motivates me to keep creating, growing, and developing my own sound.
4. You’ve been DJing since 2019, focusing on all aspects of House music in your sets. Have you found that your DJ style has changed over the years?
I completely agree. In the beginning, my way of mixing was based on very simple concepts; it was mostly about blending one track into another, and doing it for myself in my room or for a few close friends. Over the years, I gained experience by playing at different events and understanding the real importance of interacting with the crowd.
It was also essential for me to dive deeper into electronic music and develop a special connection with genres like house. That allowed me to listen to many artists live and truly understand how the dancefloor works from the perspective of a raver—something I consider fundamental for my growth as a DJ.
When it comes to technique, I’ve always been quite self-taught and experimental. That personal exploration helped me build my own sound and develop a distinctive way of mixing. Over time, I incorporated more technical and theoretical knowledge, which helped me refine my craft and find a balance between intuition, experimentation, and an increasingly professional approach.
Today, my way of mixing and interacting with the audience focuses on creating an introspective atmosphere that invites listeners to connect with their inner world, to feel joy, and to experience music not only as something external but also as a nearly meditative state. My intention is to show that through music, one can embark on an expansive, emotional, and deeply meaningful journey.
5. When did you first start producing? What made you want to start making music?
Since my early days as a DJ, I’ve always been drawn to music production. I’ve always felt that both disciplines go hand in hand, and that they enrich each other. I’ve been experimenting with Ableton for about three years now, and more recently, I’ve started to incorporate some bases and melodies I create into my sets. This has helped me shape my style and achieve more complex blends.
Today, in addition to experimenting freely, I’m also taking classes to expand my knowledge and move toward creating my own tracks, including my vocals.
Music has played a deeply important and positive role throughout my entire life; it has been with me for as long as I can remember. It was there in so many stages: listening to classical music at my grandparents’ home, playing rock CDs and singing covers with my older brother, making pop choreographies with my friends as a kid, singing in the school choir, meditating, and so much more.
Music sparks something beautiful in me—it brings me peace, fuels my creativity, elevates me into deep, meditative states of consciousness, and helps me connect with myself and with others. Creating music gives me a strong sense of purpose because it allows me to share with people everything that music evokes in me.
6. Who are some of your biggest influences in music, and why?
I have a wide range of musical influences; I enjoy exploring different genres and always find something inspiring in each one. My earliest references come from classical music—among my favorites are P. Tchaikovsky and Bach. I believe my connection to these composers comes partly from my family’s influence, especially my grandparents, and partly from the fact that I see a strong link between classical music and electronic music. Both share long, instrumental pieces full of sonic nuances, complex harmonies, and layered frequencies, melodies, and rhythms that, through their transitions, tell a story.
Other major influences for me are bands like Depeche Mode, Justice, and Daft Punk, as well as artists such as Gustavo Cerati. They blend electronic elements with rock, funk, and disco, using synthesizers and drum machines as a foundation while maintaining a unique musical identity—something I’ve always admired and try to bring into my own sound.
From a more purist house perspective, my biggest reference and artistic role model is, without a doubt, Hernan Cattaneo. I deeply admire his trajectory, but also his ability to create something truly special with the audience. He keeps people joyful, connected, and fully attentive to every transition, allowing them to really appreciate what’s happening in the moment. That dialogue between DJ and crowd makes his sets feel magical. I admire his precision, his ability to blend different strands of house while always maintaining a clean progressive line, and his dedication to supporting local artists.
Another Argentine artist who has influenced me greatly is Kevin Di Serna. I share his vision of music as a bridge to the spiritual world—something therapeutic that helps us connect with ourselves and with others.
Artists like Guy Mantzur, Sasha, and Guy J have also shaped me deeply. They all carry a special sensitivity for emotional and progressive sounds. I appreciate how central melodies are in their sets, because that emotional charge creates a genuine connection with the audience—it reaches you and leaves a mark.
Receiving support from several of these major references makes me incredibly happy and means a lot to me. It’s a huge motivation to keep growing and developing my own artistic path.
7. You’re from Buenos Aires and often play in the city. What are some of your favourite places you’ve played?
In the city of Buenos Aires, one of the places I value the most is the Downtempo rooftop. It has a deep history within the Argentine electronic music scene, has hosted many renowned artists, and has become an iconic spot for everyone who loves this culture.
Another place I truly enjoyed playing was in my hometown, Mercedes, in the province of Buenos Aires. I had the opportunity to perform at the Teatro Argentino, an emblematic cultural space in the city. It was an honor to be part of an event with such a diverse audience — from children and older adults to people who aren’t necessarily connected to the electronic scene. Sharing my music in such a wide and varied environment was a very special experience.
8. It’s been great chatting with you today. What can we expect from you in 2026?
It was also a pleasure for me to be part of Music is 4 Lovers. 2025 was a year of meaningful growth and learning, which is why I feel so excited about what’s ahead in 2026. I see it as a new opportunity to keep evolving, refine my craft as a DJ, and continue shaping my path as a music producer and vocalist. I’m truly looking forward to creating my own music, inspired by the therapeutic side of sound that has always been present in my life, and blending it with electronic music to offer something honest and heartfelt to listeners. My hope is that my music and my voice can accompany people, create connection, and evoke genuine emotion.
For 2026, my intention is simple and sincere: to keep growing and hopefully bring happiness to many people through what I do. If my music can offer someone a meaningful moment, even if just for a few minutes, that already feels like a beautiful gift to me.
