1. Hi Stanislav, welcome to Music is 4 Lovers. How has 2025 been for you so far?

Hi Guys! Nice to hear you!

The year was wonderful and difficult at the same time.

Visa issues, my favorite organic labels have switched to a completely different sound and style.

I don’t like this sound at all and it’s not close to my soul (But this is a plus, it leads to change)

2. You have a new release dropping on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth label. What can you tell us about the record?

That’s right, the release is on November 7th! This is a wonderful event for me, and I feel a sense of responsibility and gratitude to Sasha for her trust.

I can say that this is a new breath of fresh air and a step beyond the boundaries of organic sound, which I am very happy about.

3. What is your dance music genesis story? How did you first find your love for electronic music and what was the point that tipped that over into becoming your full time calling?

I grew up in a small town. During my school years, I listened to the Prodigy, breakdanced, and drew graffiti. Older kids brought CDs to practice. For the first time in my life, I came across a compilation album by the British electronic band Freestylers, mostly playing breakbeat. It was love at first track, but then I started digging deeper and met the owner of a small CD department in a shopping center.

This was 2003, and they had already started separating their CDs by style. I started buying all the breakbeat compilations. Then I came across artists like Überzone with their track Bounce and Stanton Warriors. But one day, when I went to the store, I saw a new section for styles: “Electronics.” On the shelf was a CD with the album “Sasha – Airdrawndagger” and a disc by Faithless – Outrospective.

This was a completely different story impression. I was first introduced to house sound when I went to a nightclub for the first time in late 2006. A friend and I immediately bought two decks Pioneer CDJ 100S  and a mixer Neumann. Five years later, I became a resident of a 2,000-person club.

4. As a DJ you’ve traveled pretty extensively, what have been some of your favorite cities/clubs to play and why?

Over the years, I’ve flown almost all over the globe! Those were incredible journeys.

I love it everywhere, no matter if it’s a small club for 100 people or a large venue for 10,000.

Among the clubs I can note : The Bow (Buenos Aires), Mandarine Park (Buenos Aires) Stereo (Montreal) Academy La (Los Angeles) Block 22 (Hyderabad) House Of Yes (New York) Space (Miami) Printworks (London) Studio 338 (London)

These places have simply incredible sound and atmosphere. That’s not even mentioning the big festivals.

5. Away from the studio and the DJ booth, what are your other personal passions, interests, hobbies etc?

I really love cooking, traveling, reading books, and computer games.

6. What are your all-time favorite 3 artist albums and why?

I don’t think three albums would be enough. I’m a music lover and listen to a lot of music every day. I could share a dozen of my favorite albums from different genres and eras.

David August – D’angelo
Aphex Twin – Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Edward Artemiev – Moods 1984
Massive Attack – Blue Lines
Bonobo – Black Sands
Vega Trails – Tremors in the Static
Sergei Djokanov – The Green Desert 1985

D-Pulse – Dancing Qualia
Robert Miles – Organik
Trentemoller – The very last report
Faithless – Outrospective
Jon Hopkins – Insides

7. What does the year ahead have in store for you and is there anything else you’d like to share?

I’m preparing many releases in the new year and launching a multi-genre label, “Bomond”. Stay tuned for updates.

I’ve also joined a major booking agency, Bullitt. I hope we can work through the visa issues together, and I’ll begin an active tour around the world.

Modd & Voice Of Babylon’s Bomond EP comes out on Last Night On Earth on November 7th 2025.
