Hey Jonathan, great to chat with you! What’s good right now for you and how has 2025 been?
Hey! Thanks for having me. 2025’s been wild so far with the Diynamic release and now I’ve just released my Anti-Social EP on Reve Music. I have been playing more shows around Israel, and working nonstop on new music. I’m super focused right now on evolving my sound and connecting with a bigger global audience.
What’s your creative process like, are you in the studio working regular hours or only when the mood takes you?
I try to be in the studio regularly, but I don’t force it. Inspiration comes in waves, so when I feel something, I go deep. Some of my best ideas come late at night when the world’s quiet and there’s no pressure.
What are some of your favourite tools, toys, bits of gear in there?
I keep it pretty minimal. I love using the Roland TR-8S for drum grooves, and I do a lot of sound design in Ableton with stock effects and a few choice plugins like Soundtoys, UAD, and Sylenth 1. I’m also big on using old vinyl samples and random voice notes I record on my phone.
What inspired the Anti-Social EP and what inspired the title?
The title reflects a real moment I was going through and some old school vibes. I was disconnecting from a lot of social stuff, just diving into music and kind of isolating myself. The tracks reflect that energy – a bit raw, dark, and introspective but still with that bounce for the club.
Does this release on Reve Music differ from your work on Diynamic, do you like to switch it up?
Definitely. The release on Diynamic had more of a melodic, emotional energy, while Anti-Social is more stripped-down, gritty, and attitude-driven. I like showing different sides of myself. I don’t want to be boxed into one sound.
What kind of setting did you envision when producing this EP, and is that how you work?
I always imagine spaces – dark rooms, basement clubs, after-hours spots. With Anti-Social, I was picturing a smoky, low-ceiling club at 4AM. That’s usually how I work – I need to feel where the track would live.
What role do vocals play in your tracks, especially with the sleazy and sultry vibe on this EP? Is it about their texture or the actual words?
It’s mostly about texture and mood. I love vocals that sound like whispers in your ear – seductive, mysterious, and a little weird. Sometimes the words matter, but it’s mostly about the way they feel over the groove.
Are they originals or are they samples? Are there any other samples in the EP? Where do you go digging for them?
It’s a mix – some are samples, some are recordings I made with friends or with my voice pitched and processed. I dig a lot on the internet, old records, or random movies. I like things that feel a bit imperfect, raw, unexpected.
What’s next for you, what else have you got coming up?
I’ve got a few collabs in the works, a new EP done, and I’m working on setting up some shows outside of Israel. Also planning a vinyl-only release with a more deep, late-night vibe. Just staying locked in and building step by step.
