Fusion music producer InteliDey returns with “Brahma,” the third release from his upcoming concept album New Age Spirit, due in full later this year. Rooted in the idea of rekindling faith and spirituality through modern sound, the project reimagines how sacred and religious themes can be experienced by contemporary audiences — not as something distant or confined to tradition, but as something alive, emotional, and powerful on today’s dancefloors and streaming platforms.
With “Brahma,” InteliDey (real name Dr Somdip Dey) turns to one of the holy trinity deities of Hinduism — Brahma, the creator — as the spiritual centre of a track that blends melodic techno, Afro-house / Afro-beats influences, and Indian traditional musical elements into a cinematic, bass-driven electronic experience. Built around mantra-inspired vocal themes, emotional synth work, and a rolling low end designed to be felt physically as much as heard, the track aims to evoke the feeling of creation, awe, and the beginning of life.
New Age Spirit is a wider artistic statement that explores spirituality and religion through fusion music. Across the album, InteliDey draws on influences from Hindu, Middle Eastern, and broader sacred musical traditions, reframing them through futuristic electronic production. The result is a body of work that seeks to offer listeners a new relationship with faith-based music — one that is immersive, modern, rhythmically compelling, and culturally reflective.
The project has already begun taking shape through the earlier releases “OM TANA” and “OM TANA (Indo Afro Mantra)”, two tracks that introduced listeners to the album’s core sonic language: hypnotic chant motifs, bass-heavy melodic techno structures, Afro-inflected rhythmic energy, and a spiritually rooted fusion approach. Together with “Brahma,” these releases mark the opening chapters of New Age Spirit and signal the album’s wider ambition to bridge devotion, culture, and contemporary club music.
As both an Embedded AI scientist and a music producer, InteliDey has also brought technology into the creative process behind New Age Spirit. AI has been used as an analytical and workflow-enhancing tool to study existing patterns in faith-related music, identify what has already been explored, and uncover new opportunities — particularly in introducing genres such as melodic techno and Afro-house into spiritual music contexts where they have rarely been developed in this way. For InteliDey, the role of AI is not to replace artistry, but to strengthen the producer’s ability to experiment, refine ideas, and push creative boundaries.
“Technology can be a powerful creative partner when used in the right way. In my experience, AI is at its best when it enhances productivity, analysis, and experimentation — not when it tries to replace the human soul of music production. Since 2021, I have been developing ways to use AI as part of the creative workflow, and on projects like Brahma and New Age Spirit, it has helped me discover new possibilities without taking away the artistry, intention, or emotional authenticity of the music.”
Following the earlier releases from New Age Spirit, “Brahma” further establishes InteliDey’s vision of fusion music as a bridge between past and future, tradition and technology, devotion and dancefloor energy. As anticipation builds toward the full album later this year, Brahma offers another glimpse into a project that aims to reshape how spirituality can be heard in contemporary electronic music.
