Fool’s Paradise arrives at fabric for its first live event on Saturday 18 April, presented as a day party and framed by the same principles that define the label itself. This is house treated as a living language rather than a reference point, rooted in emotional intelligence and true musicianship, expressed with clarity for today’s clubs.
Founded by Mark Knight, Fool’s Paradise was built to serve the present tense. From its earliest releases, the label found its audience not through nostalgia or scale, but through trust in the records. Disco, soul and classic house sit beneath the surface, informing rather than dominating, with each release positioned as a statement of belief in where the sound can go next.
“This label started from a very simple place,” says Knight. “I wanted a home for soulful house that felt alive again, music with musicianship and feeling, but made for the clubs we are actually playing today. Bringing Fool’s Paradise to fabric for the first time, and doing it as a day party, feels like a proper statement. fabric has always been about the music first. To deliver our first live event there is a big moment for me and for the label.”
fabric provides a natural setting for that ambition. A club defined by sound quality, long-form programming and trust in the music, it offers the space for Fool’s Paradise to unfold without compromise. Running from mid-afternoon through to late evening, the format allows the music to breathe, prioritising flow and connection over shorthand peak-time moments.
Across all three of fabric’s legendary rooms, the lineup reflects the label’s wider collective rather than a hierarchy. Artists who helped shape the foundations of soulful and house music appear alongside those actively defining its current form, including T Grant Nelson, Norman Jay MBE, Kid Creme, Richard Earnshaw, Jay Vegas, Brandon Block, Groove P, Ronnie Herrel, Soul Avengerz, Odyssey Inc, Tenacious, Steve Taylor and Grant Nalder, with a live PA from Lukas Setto.
In addition, a special guest headliner will be announced in the coming weeks.
The emphasis is on shared values, proper craft and records that understand both where they come from and where they belong now.
