Hamburg’s Florian Kruse is one of the European scene’s most accomplished names. His ever-evolving sounds have come on key labels like Kompakt, Ritter Butzke Records and Global Underground while he plays live as half of The Ground and heads up Save Room Recordings with Nils Nuernberg. For this one, he links with Dilee D who hails from Colombo, Sri Lanka and heads up Idyllik Records and brings a unique cultural perspective to his brand of electronic music.
Says Florian of the pairing, “From Instagram friends to creative collaborators, we bridge the gap between Berlin and Chicago through our music. Our tracks, ‘Clockwork Mind’ and ‘Mother Nature,’ draw inspiration from diverse musical cultures; we’re thrilled to have our work signed to Sasha’s LNOE label!”
Opener ‘Clockwork Mind’ is a patient and slow-burning track that casts a magical melodic spell with its lush synth craft. Once you’re hooked in, the drums arrive and bring a bouncy groove that will set the club alight. The equally epic and moving ‘Mother Nature’ has deeper, bolder bass notes and a hint of melancholy in the chords. The drums still bring great movement to this classy emotional roller coaster.
