Glasgow powerhouse Denis Sulta marks 10 years of a modern club classic with ‘It’s Only Real 2025’, a rolling rework of his 2015 breakthrough track, out 27th November on all platforms. ‘It’s Only Real 2025’ lands after a standout 12 months for Sulta, including major appearances at Amnesia, ADE, Drumsheds, EXIT Festival, and a fourth consecutive year at Pacha Ibiza alongside Solomun, plus a recent set at Barcelona’s Nitsa Club. The release crowns a year defined by international momentum, renewed creative focus and personal milestones, marking a full circle moment for an artist who continues to carve his own path on the global underground.
Originally released in 2015, ‘It’s Only Real’ became the seminal track that launched Sulta – real name Hector Barbour – into global consciousness, earning heavyweight support from Ben UFO, Four Tet, Bicep and the BBC Radio 1 Dance family. Since then, it has been cemented as one of modern club culture’s defining cuts – a track that transcended local roots to become a universal anthem, etched into festival memories, after-hours soundtracks and into the record bags of the underground’s finest selectors. Arriving a year after his acclaimed Sulta Selects Vol. 1 debut on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, the record laid the foundations for influential follow-ups including L.A. Ruffgarden EP and ‘Time 4 Prayer’ on the DABJ Allstars Vol. 2 compilation, before Sulta expanded his universe with the launch of Sulta Selects – a label and global events brand and home to some of the best established and emerging underground talent.
