Louis Millne has been on the rise for a couple of years following head-turning tracks on definitive labels like Take Notes, DOSMUNDOS and Short Circuit. His effective mix of groove and futuristic sound design has found favour with the likes of Arielle Free on BBC Radio 1, alongside DJs such as East End Dubs, Max Dean and ALISHA, while consistently landing high in Beatport’s genre charts. Now, the UK talent kicks off a busy year ahead with his debut release on Lee Foss’ flagship label Repopulate Mars, the three-track ‘Don’t Say’ EP.

“Releasing this EP on a label I’ve admired for a long time feels like an important step in my journey as an artist. It’s also the first time I’ve put out a three-track release, which gave me the space to explore different facets of my darker, underground sound while keeping a consistent sense of groove and atmosphere. Each record was shaped through my DJ sets, helping refine the energy and flow of the project as a whole. The collaboration brought a new creative perspective that pushed the EP into unexpected territory.” Louis Millne.

Opener ‘Don’t Say’ sets the tone with pinging kicks and glitchy, skittish percussion. A booming bassline is primed to rattle warehouse walls, while cosmic synth work and a detached vocal bring a sense of dehumanised cool. On ‘Lo Siento’, Millne hooks up with rising Brazilian producer Ribguga, who has cut through with jams on the likes of Cloonee’s Hellbent and Dirtybird. The pair up the ante with muscular drums and twanging bass that bump and grind against minimal percussion and wordless vocal touches. Closer ‘Someone Special’ dials up the emotional heat, pairing a forlorn vocal with warm machine grooves and a melodic bassline that builds inescapable low-end pressure.

Louis Millne ‘Don’t Say’ EP drops via Repopulate Mars on 27th February 2026.
