It’s been 6 years since we have heard new music released by Underworld, and now it’s here for our ears pleasure. Their albums in the past have included a wide variety of styles; including techno, reggae, rock, electro and more. We’ve been extremely curious about what is to come next. Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future includes once again a wide variety of styles, and features their principal musicians Karl Hyde and Rick Smith. You can also track Karl on his daily diary at Karl Hyde Live to follow them on their next tour and find out what’s in the mind of the music maker.

Barbara Barbara, We Face a Shining Future includes 7 tracks. “I Exhale” is a rock out tune with an 80’s vibe. It is like a blast from the past, with a forward-thinking riff. “If Rah” is a techno boogie with informative lyrics and a smooth groove. “Low Burn” is a track for all of us beautiful freaks; it has heart-warming lyrics on top of abiding percussion and has been dubbed ‘celestial techno’. “Santiago Cuatro” takes us down to South America with strings which bring in a four-minute feeling of freedom and bliss. Clear your minds and relax to this unique beauty of a tune. Then, once your mind is free, tune into “Motorhome” for a transcendental harmony of lyrics and fabricated vibes. “Ova Nova” will get back into a dance mood with beautiful lyrics, strings and keyboard. A sweet sophisticated “Nylon Strung” closes the album with a calming satisfaction of warmth.  You can feel the sensitiveness in each track entwined with vehemence to make this album another one for the books in the underground music of the world.

You can purchase the album HERE where you have a choice of download, vinyl or cd. For the extra mile you can also get the package which includes 180gsm heavyweight vinyl – cut at half speed, CD and 60 page 12×12” book of original artwork by tomato.
