Ibiza based artist Davina Moss to release Hive EP on Do Not Sleep out Feb 27th.
Do Not Sleep open their release schedule for 2017 by welcoming a new face to the label, Davina Moss. The Ibiza-based producer presents Hive EP, 4 choice cuts of club ready house music featuring Leftroom main-man Matt Tolfrey on remix duty.
The title-track is a rolling percussion led number with stabby loops and subtle bassline that grows and grows. On the remix, Tolfrey reels in the tempo of ‘Hive’ adding a weightier sound, impressive hi-hats and trippy effects into the mix before echoed synths bring the track home. ‘Mixie’ sees Moss go heavy on the percussion. Solid pads and stuttered drums drop into a killer dancefloor prepped bassline supported by lush keys. The closer, ‘It Feels It’s Gonna Rain’, is Moss at her most experimental keeping the percussion tight whilst throwing in sketchy industrial elements and spiralling chords that come to a head before unleashing a pulsating finale.
