Properly setting the tone for 2017, the second release on Earthly Delights comes from budding Canadian producer, Kora. With previous releases out on Kindisch, the artist joins the label after much recognition of his tribal cut “Ovo” last year, and only continues to shine. Embodying a rich, worldly sound, the recently launched NYC-based imprint aims to push cultural boundaries, by uniting artists across the globe, breathing New-Age inspired soundscapes into electronic music.
Channeling an ambient desert vibe, Fragile EP transcends you into a deep mystical journey. The release opens with “Vayu” – a blissful hypnotic affair that will immerse you into a meditative escape, while sweet drums and graceful pads linger beneath hauntingly seductive Arabic vocals. Shifting into more melancholic territory, “Fragile” takes a lovely emotive approach, with delicate strings over a steady bassline, while Earthly Delights’ very own Timujin graces us with his rework of the original, kicking up the tempo with lush organic textures.
