Interview with Tollefson

How did you get into Djing and the electronic music scene?
I grew up with dance music & developed a love for it when I was really young. I got into DJing by watching & learning while my Uncle would mix on vinyl in his basement. Initially he was trying to teach me how to produce in Reason but I picked up mixing tunes quicker than producing. My friend had brought me to my first rave in, I want to say 2009..?

Tell us about the scene in Seattle? What makes it special? I think there’s a really cool scene up here. I feel like as the city itself grows, the dance music community continues to grow with it. It’s awesome! I love that there are lots of opportunities to catch different types of dance music on a weekly basis. The community definitely makes it special.

Who are your top 3 Favorite Producers/DJs at the moment?
Muise Ansome Born Dirty

Tell us about your mix…
It’s a heavier techno mix. I’ve been pretty inspired by all of the techno festivals around Europe (that I have yet to experience) as of late, so I decided to throw these tracks together as if I were playing at one of those festivals.

Favorite Drink?
Flavored sparkling water is definitely one of my favorites.

CHEERS!
