Costa Rica’s Envision Festival has announced their return for 2018 with a beautiful after movie of the 2017 event, outlining the “8 pillars” of the festival that represent the values and goals of the Central American conscious gathering. Returning February 21 – 25 next year, the festival will continue to focus on the pillars of Education, Movement, Art, Ecobuild, Health, Community, Permaculture, and Spirituality to offer attendees a wholesome, restorative, and educational event.

And there’s also techno. On a beach. In a Costa Rican jungle. Need we say much more?

Envision Festival’s musical programming focuses more than anything else on curating a decidedly psychedelic sound. While a number genres are presented across the 5 day event, the headliners tend to fall into the psy-bass realm with artists like Sphongle, OTT, The Polish Ambassador, and Opiuo topping the bill in recent years. That doesn’t mean house and techno aren’t well represented though. This past year, Blond:ish, Acid Pauli, Goldcap, Nicola Cruz, and more held things down for the 4×4 crowd.

For a strictly house and techno head, Envision Festival may not offer everything you’re looking for. You’ll undoubtedly find yourself listening to (albeit palatable) bass music, but will also find the music and experience match well with each other overall. Check out the 2017 after movie below and see for yourself if the vibe is right, and grab your tickets if you’re up for the adventure.
