The extremely skilled Brooklyn producer Brian Cid has added another stellar EP to his already impressive repertoire with “Hidden”. The second release on Mark Slee and Atish’s imprint Manjumasi, contains two originals from Brian Cid and remixes from other top notch producers Jon Charnis and Nico Stojan.
The title track “Hidden” is a bouncy tune that is filled with hard grooving percussive elements, moody ambient synths and spacious bass lines which create a refreshing mixture of emotion and rhythm. Jon Charnis’ remix grooves hard and includes rhythmic melodic parts that compliment the thick percussion. Nico Stojan’s version is filled with trippy synth elements that weave in and out of the beat perfectly. The other original “Costa Verde” maintains the sultry laid back vibe with even more engaging percussion and ethereal synth parts that float around and modulate throughout the track.
“Hidden” is a solid EP that radiates dance floor vibes and showcases Brian Cid’s ingenuity as a producer.
